I decided to buy this item at Target because they had a -$10.00 coupon for it. But Toys R Us had the best price. So I found the item at a Target store. I took it to the service desk, along with my Toys R Us sale flyer (they will check the date on this to make sure it's a current sale and the exact item you're buying). I asked them to price match the item to the Toys R Us price and then when they gave me my total I gave them my coupon. I've heard that some people have had problems price matching issues when trying to use a Target coupon. Apparently it's up to the store's discretion whether or not they will let you use a coupon on a price match (Target doesn't really have a policy on this). So my strategy is to not mention the coupon until I'm about to hand over my money and I just sort of slip it in there. Most of the time the cashier won't want to void the whole transaction at that point.

So the moral of the story is that price matching will SAVE you $$$ and lots of time running around to different stores looking for the best price. Both Target and Walmart will price match. Walmart allows their cashiers to do it right at the register. You will have to go to the service desk at Target. And check out the awesome Target toy coupons HERE to see if any of them will work for you!

I ended up paying $63.00 for the princess piano thing which is a great savings considering the original price. I also price matched a Thomas train set and got a great price on it! And if your child is dying to have the Handy Manny Tool Bench then this is the week to get it! Price match it to the Kmart price (bring your flyer) and then use the -$10.00 Target coupon!
