Recently I stocked up on All laundry detergent. Martin's (Giant) had it B1G1 @ $5.49. In a recent paper there had been $2/1 coupons, but I only had 2 of those. So I ventured over to ebay and bought 20 more for $2 shipped.
At Martin's you can use 1 coupon per item, even on B1G1 sales. I bought 22 bottles of All high efficiency detergent! The breakdown looks like this:
22 bottles @ $5.49 each = $120.78
minus B1G1 deal = $60.39
minus 22 $2/1 coupons = $16.39
plus the $2 that I paid for my coupons on ebay
Final Price
.84 cents per bottle!!!!
When I looked at all of these bottles lined up on top of my washing machine tonight, it got me thinking about stockpiling and the benefits of it. Last summer I got 30 boxes of ziploc bags free, and remember the awesome cereal deals at Kmart last fall? And I can promise you we won't be running out of deoderant, toothpaste, shampoo, or body wash anytime soon!
I really like this post from The Coupon Project about stockpiling and how it can benefit you and your grocery budget!
