If you're a reader of bargain blogs, one thing you'll see quite often is the opportunity to win something. On some sites it is a prize that has a huge value; Other sites it might not be so grand, but still something fun.
Every now and then someone asks if it's worth the time taken to enter your information for samples and giveaways. Not everyone finds it to be a good thing, but I think it can be fun. Now I don't recommend taking time away from responsibilities such as laundry and housework to sit in front of your computer, entering giveaways (I am not guilty of avoiding laundry and housework. It goes against everything I believe in, but i'm just saying. Some of you might be tempted!).
I like a site that offers a free download of Roboform..with a click this will fill in all of your information, which saves a lot of time. If you see a sample or giveaway for something you aren't interested in, don't spend the time entering.
Right now Southern Savers is celebrating her site's 2 year birthday and she is giving away some awesome stuff! You should definitely check some of it out! Hip 2 Save has some fun giveaways up, and Money Saving Mom does a linky once a week for bloggers to post what they have for grabs--i've won a few things through her links!
A fun fact:
When I was in high school the new James Bond movies were coming out on VHS and DVD. There was a sweepstakes to win the cute little BMW that he drove in the movie. My sister and I were determined to win this, so we filled out a bunch of forms in my dad's name and mailed them in. We didn't win the car, but we did win a 2 week getaway to Paris and Italy, including a trip on the Orient Express! That was an awesome vacation for my parents--even though we were disappointed that we didn't win the car. And they left us home!
