I was so excited to do THIS board game deal today, but then I had some issues locally! So I thought I'd share my shopping experience with you, so you can be prepared in case you have an issue.
So here's the deal: Buy 2 Monopoly or Sorry Games and get 1 Free.
Deal Idea:
Buy 6 Monopoly and/or Sorry games - $7.99 each (Two Free)
Use Toys R Us $5 off $25
Use 6 $4/1 Hasbro Game Coupons HERE. (or from the Parade magazine)
Pay $3.00 for all 3 games!
----------
That all sounds great, but at the Toys R Us in Hagerstown, they would not let me use (6) coupons. They wouldn't let me use coupons on the ones I was getting for free (even though I explained that you should be able to do that b/c the store is giving one for FREE and the manufacturer is sponsoring the coupon). So I let it go and decided to just use (4) coupons. Then they informed me that I could only use (1) coupon because the coupons say "One per purchase." Now that just makes me crazy when a cashier reads the fine print on the coupon and tells me I can't use it because you can only use "one per purchase." Cashiers interpret this as meaning "one per transaction" and that is NOT correct!

So anytime you have someone tell you that you can't use more than one coupon in your transaction because the coupon happens to say "One per purchase" you should casually respond by saying this:
"Oh all coupons say that. What it means is that you can only use 1 coupon per item that you're purchasing and I'm only using 1 coupon per item that I'm purchasing. So just try and put all the coupons through. I'm sure the register will let you."
And the register will always let you.
---------
In the end I paid $12.56 for (6) board games!! I felt pretty good about that deal. That's about 2 bucks a game for a nice Christmas present or birthday gift! But I'm just warning you that you need to have your game plan ready if you go to the Toys R Us in Hagerstown, Md.
