My husband spends a lot of time outdoors for both work and play. To say that he loves fishing is an understatement. Last winter when we had record snowfalls he was out fishing!! I call him crazy at times like this, but apparently he thinks it's normal!
So when I saw the opportunity to review the Zippo Hand Warmer I was excited! I knew this would get really tested and that he would give me his honest opinion.
The size of the Zippo hand warmer is perfect. It fits nicely into his pants pocket although he usually keeps it in the pocket of his fleece jacket. It takes a few minutes to get it filled with the lighter fluid but the process is really easy. Then you light the burner on the top, place the cover back on, slip it into the fleece bag, and you're set!
The website claims that it has a 12 hour burn time--and it does!! It isn't too hot but nice and warm, as long as you keep it in the fleece bag. If you take it out the warmer is hot to the touch but not so hot that it burned our skin.
This is what the Zippo website says about the warmer:
- Rugged metal construction
- Sleek and compact design
- Reusable w/ Zippo premium lighter fluid
- Virtually odorless – great for hunters
- 12 hour burn time (new version)
- Includes convenient filler cup and warming bag
- Ideal for hunting, ice fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and outdoor sporting events.
My husband has been using his hand warmer a lot and just loves it. He fished in below freezing temps this past weekend and said he was glad to have a way to warm his hands up!
If you have a man in your life who spends time outdoors in the winter, this is a great gift! In fact, we'll be purchasing one or two as gifts for family! At $19.99 you can't go wrong!
Thanks to Zippo for providing this awesome hand warmer for us to review!

Interesting. I had never heard of that, but it would certainly be a creative stocking stuffer!
Cool idea! Ed and Beth would love it for hunting. I'm too cheap to spend $20 on a stocking stuffer, but will keep my eyes open for a good deal somewhere!
