I've been frustrated for a week now because the rest of the world got (4) inserts on 1/2/11. Our local paper, The Record Herald, only had (3) coupon inserts. We missed out on a really good Smart Source Insert. If you bought a Washington Post that weekend or a Baltimore Sun, you probably got all the inserts.
I just wanted to point out the missing insert so that when you're looking at various coupon match-ups and they specify that a certain coupon was in the 1/2/11 SS, you probably didn't get it.
But all in all, we should be very thankful that we can buy a weekend paper for only $0.75. It might be a small town paper that occasionally misses some coupons, but it's way cheaper than what most people pay for their weekend papers.

Public Opinion had five inserts that week. And Dollar Tree has the Sunday PO for 50cents. However, I am frustrated that we didn't get the Electrasol coupon.
I bought some Electrasol coupons on ebay. I just got them today, so I'm going to try to head to CVS tonight!! Check out the "Coupon Clippers" link on the sidebar of this blog to buy coupons or just buy them on ebay. It's annoying that we don't always get all the good coupons.
I completely agree. I will be calling the Record Herald this week to find out why they don't have the 'good' inserts. Even if you compare the inserts in the RH to the SAME insert in the Baltimore paper, the Baltimore inserts had more and better coupons. The RH's are filled with product ads for stretchy pants, flowers and tacky figurines. There are very few of these ads in the Baltimore paper. IDK, I think it's worth it to buy the more expensive paper if RH isn't going to get the better inserts. I know I will be switching if they don't.
Actually, I disagree. However, I do get the Post delivered so I did get the inserts but I have actually had no inserts when the Record Herald had them! Luckily I can still get a RH after Sat..You might also try the News Agency and just buy a Post each week.
