Coupon Confusion?

I was browsing a forum earlier and noticed quite a few posts regarding coupon usage, and since the posts came from local readers I thought it wouldn't hurt to mention the topic here.  If you have any opinions then please leave a comment!  It's nice to have discussion on these things!
*"stacking" a b1g1 and $/$
example:  You are buying two deoderants and would like to use a B1G1 coupon and a $1/1 coupon.
Most seasoned couponers will tell you that this is okay, as will Judy and myself.  I don't often do it but it IS okay, although if I had a cashier not willing to allow it I don't often push the issue--it can be a bit confusing.
Look at it like this--you are using the $1/1 for the first one, but oh wait--you just bought one (even thought it was at a discount) and you have a coupon that will give you one free.  The store DOES get reimbursed for this.

*"one per purchase" vs. "one per transaction"
If you are buying 5 boxes of baby wipes, you can use 5 $1/1 coupons....you have to have the correct number of products to match up to the number of products.  This is "one per purchase" (one coupon per product purchased).
If you are buying 5 boxes of baby wipes but you have 5 $1/1 coupons that state "4 per transaction" then sorry--you can only use 4 of those even though you are buying 5.  Now, if the store or cashier doesn't mind you doing 2 or 3 different transactions, then you could use 4 coupons for each of those.
Some of the P&G coupons have this written in the small print, so I used 4 as an example.

I hope this makes sense.  We discuss topics like this at our classes--so if you haven't been to one you should come!  We have a lot of fun!!
