Hi Judy & Millicent…

Still trying to get my head around all that you shared with us last Sunday evening…and how to make it work for our family…

That being said, I wanted to share with you a few things that I learned this week that might be helpful to others…

1. On Friday night, I was in Food Lion and happened to notice that Mueller’s pasta was on sale (4/$4). I remembered reading on your blog that there was a coupon available online for Mueller’s so when I got home I went to the Mueller’s site to check it out…thinking that it would be an okay deal but not as fantastic as a deal to be used at a double coupon store. After registering, I went to the coupons and promotion part of the site and there was the $.55 coupon BUT there was also a coupon for $1 off. I read the fine print, and thought that if I was reading it correctly it could be used multiple times on the same visit. Fast forward to yesterday…went to Food Lion, purchased 4 boxes of pasta with my MVP card, handed them 4 coupons, and paid $0.00. Free… Through Tuesday, this deal should be available… http://www.muellerspasta.com

2. When I checked out (earlier in the week) I got a Catalina coupon for $3 off a $15 purchase of baby goods. The clerk mentioned that she thought that it could be used for anything (not just baby stuff) and that was in fact the case. I had a larger shopping trip (over $15) that had no baby stuff, and the coupon scanned no problem.

3. Lastly, a really great brand of new oatmeal is on sale this week at Food Lion…Better Oats @ 10/$10. Of course since it is Food Lion you don’t have to buy 10…it will be $1/box. It is great for instant oatmeal…much more like old fashioned steel cut oats…they have the dark chocolate, a maple variety, strawberries & cream, and blueberry muffin. And, if you like Better Oats on Facebook you can print a coupon (just one) for buy 2 boxes get the 3rd free. So, that will be 3 boxes for $2…not free but still a good deal. http://www.betteroats.com

Cheers, Mary Harsh
