Weis Deals 1/9/2011

There are actually some really good grocery deals this week!! You can check out the coupon match-ups HERE at For the Mommas! Just remember that when she does her match-ups, her store only doubles coupons up to a dollar. For example; if she lists a $0.75 coupon, it will only double up to $1.00. If we had a similar coupon that we used in Hagerstown or Chambersburg our coupon would double up to $1.50.

My favorite deal:
Buy 11 Healthy Choice Soups = $11.00
(But they were originally $1.96 each, so that brings your total over $20.00)
Use (5) $1/2 coupons from the 1/2 SS
Pay: $7.00
Get back a $7.00 catalina on your next order
--------
If you don't have coupons it's still a decent deal. After catalina, the soup would be about $0.50 a can!
Thanks Brenda! You are definitely the guru of Weis!!!

I'm confused on this one...can you help me? Is the catalina based off of the original price not the sale price? I was going to do this deal but I thought I had to buy 20 cans to get the $7 cat.

Yes, the catalina is based off the original price. Most of the time catalinas are based on the original price, but you need to carefully watch when you're checking out to make sure. This one has already been confirmed to be working on the original price (I did it this morning)!

Also, the Heatlthy Choice frozen dinners are a great deal too. Buy 3 at the $3.19 price, and 3 at the $3.49 price. These deals are always based on the original prices at Weis...a little secret they don't tell you. Anyway, that will give you a total over $20. Plus use the buy 5 get one free HC Q that was out recently and your total will be $12.50 for 6 frozen dinners AND you still get a $7 coupon back!!!! LOVE IT!!!

Weis is always shelf price--so you can pretty much disregard the sale price!
Giant/Martin's is almost always based on sale price :(

Millicent, is the Nestle catalina at Martins based on sale price this time? Did you try it the other night? I haven't been there yet, but was planning on going tomorrow.

Judy--I didn't do it there so I have no idea!!

Hey gals, I tried this last night - I bought 11 cans of soup expecting to get the catalina and it didn't print at the Weis in Hagerstown. Their regular price was 2.19 so I thought for sure....did you do it in Chambersburg? Should I still call the catalina company? Did I do the deal wrong? It was 11 cans of that soup, right?

Oh Megan, sorry you had problems with that deal. I did the deal in Chambersburg and in Hagerstown (Stone House Sq) and it worked in both places when I bought 11 cans of Healthy Choice soup. It was an advertised deal in their sale flyer this week. So keep your receipt and keep the sale flyer and take both of them into the store sometime and ask them for your catalina. It was a store sponsored catalina deal (not a national deal sponsored by the manufacturer)so calling the 800 number probably won't help.
