I saved $30.14 and paid $0.52!!!!
That's a 99% savings!!
Needless to say, I was just a little excited.
Now I realize that it's totally lame that I didn't have $0.52 cents. Notice it says credit next to that amount. Ugh. I almost didn't show this to you because that parts just a tad bit embarassing.
So are you wondering how I did it???
It's all about the two transactions I did before this one and the catalina deal that I was rolling (the Healthy Choice soup deal). So I had a $7.00 catalina that I used to pay for this transaction. Technically this transaction should have cost me $7.52!! That's why catalina deals are so awesome. Make them work to your advantage. Roll them. Don't be afraid to do three transactions in a row. I did that at two different stores today and my two year old was pretty much having a meltdown the entire time.
When you get a grocery store flyer the first thing you should look for is the catalina deals they might be running that week. You also need to pay attention to those pesky little catalina papers that print out at the end of your transactions at various grocery stores. Sometimes they have coupons, sometimes they're money off your next order, and sometimes they are explanations about an upcoming catalina deal. Watch out for those!
Here's a link to a current list of catalina deals. If you're planing on doing a catalina deal; make sure the green light is ON on the catalina machine!!! And if your catalina doesn't print the store is probably not going to do anything about it (unless it was specifically advertised in their flyer). You will have to follow up on your own by calling 1-888-8COUPON and believe it or not they do actually resolve catalina issues by sending people checks (I know that for a fact!)
