It looks like we're on a roll with local stores and coupon policy updates tonight!
Hip 2 Save posted an update from Wal-Mart!
I recommend you go here and print the corporate coupon policy to keep with you! This is what's new:
Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.

This is great!!!

Sort of exciting...is the catalina an addition? I have tried to use those before to no avail. And where do you find competitors coupons with a $ amount?
I still can't believe it says "change may be given." Really?? No store has ever agreed to give change before. It makes sense that they would b/c they are getting reimbursed for the full face value of the coupon, therefore shoppers should also get the full value for the coupon, but I can think of lots of situations where you would walk out of the store with some decent money in hand if they really follow through with this.
They have said in the past they'd take competitors catalinas, but it was never actually in writing. Now we have something to show the cashier/manager!
I'm think the store coupon with $$ off would be something like an in-ad coupon from Rite Aid that gives you an item for a certain price.
So the $$ coupons aren't going to work because the price is probably already cheaper at Walmart?
So can I use the Food Lion coupons? For example the 3.00 off of pampers.
Courtney--I don't think they will take the Food Lion printable (store coupon). But, any catalina that prints out at Food Lion and says "manufacturer coupon" on the top--they will take that :)
