Summer Reading Programs



Many libraries and other organizations are starting sign-ups for summer reading programs. Leave a comment with any that we miss and we'll update the post! This is a great way to keep your kids reading through the summer and get fun freebies along the way!

The BEC in Shady Grove also has a Summer reading program.

Alexander Hamilton, Waynesboro, has a summer reading program too. June 1st the sign up begins. They have weekly crafts, story time, some guest entertainers, etc. Go to their homepage for more information www.ahmfl.org

we signed up in smithsburg today and got a coupon for a FREE kid's meal at Chik-Fil-A!! Even the 2 year-old got one!
I don't think you have to be a resident of MD to participate in Washington County's program, since PA residents can have a card to that library!

Has anyone seen info about the Hershey Park Summer Reading Program?

I just called Lancaster Newspapers and they said that HERSHEY PARK HAS DISCONTINUED the Summer Fun Reading Challenge for 2011 due to cutbacks. It's a shame as this has been such a wonderful motivation to keep my kids reading for the summer.
