Budget Post Winner!

Thanks for all of the responses on the grocery budget post!  It is interesting to see the differences and similarities.  

I find that they key to making the most of your grocery budget is planning, to whatever level you prefer.  Me?  I make a menu of ideas for the week.  It's not set in stone, that way if we change our mind it isn't a big deal.  

I take stock of what I have in the pantry, the week's sales/deals, and then go from there.

I'm sending her a fun little magnetic menu planner that I found at michael's for .30 cents (I grabbed a bunch!).  This has been really handy to have on the fridge, and my sweet husband says that he likes to check it each morning to see if he should just grab something on the way home....nice, huh?  :)
