It's tricky, but it can be done. Now keep in mind that I'm basing most of my experience on shopping trips that I've had at the Foodlion Store in Greencastle, Pa. The cashiers and manager of the Greencastle store will tell you that you can't stack store and manufacturer coupons. You'll get mixed answers at other stores. But you can stack coupons WITHOUT having the register beep by being organized and following a few simple rules.
To stack store coupons with manufacturer coupons with NO BEEPS, therefore the cashier won't even notice:
#1. Only use 1 of the same Foodlion store coupon per transaction. For example; if you have a Foodlion coupon for $1.00 off Rediwhip (which is an actual store coupon that I did use today) only use (1) of those coupons in your transaction. If you use more than one the register will beep (at least in Greencastle, that's how it works).
#2. Give the cashier your Foodlion Store coupons first, then give them your manufacturer coupons. If you give the cashier you entire stack of coupons first and she scans a manufacturer coupon first and then a store coupon for the same item, the register will beep and you're probably going to get hassled.
#3. That's it :)
Some Foodlion deals I found today:
- Post Coco Pebbles cereal is BOGO - Use (2) $0.75/1 Coco Pebbles cereal from the 12/5 SS
- Buy 2 Get 1 Free Hershey's kisses & Reeses Peanut Butter cups - Use (1) Buy 2 Get 1 FREE coupon from the 12/5 SS You'll pay for (1) bag and get (2) FREE (one with the coupon and one with the store sale). It ends up being $3.79 for (3) bags....not great, but pretty good!
- Pay attention the coupons that print with your receipt. I got store coupons for RediWhip, Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice & SaraLee Cheesecake....all of which I was able to stack with manufacturer's coupons in another transaction to get a great deal....and then more store coupons printed!!!
So do you go to Foodlion or do you avoid it because they don't have the best coupon policies??? What has your experience been with stacking coupons and using coupons at local FoodLion's???

Thanks for the heads up about stacking the coupons. I usually try to avoid Foodlion because I never have pleasant shopping experiences there. But I will go if there is a deal I can't pass up.
I have had mixed experiences at the Waynesboro Food Lion. It seems to depend on the cashier that I have. I still love to shop there because you don't have to buy 2 items to get the BOGOF offers. Each one rings up at half price.
My boyfriend worked as a cashier for food lion until a recent promotion, and he said his cash register never beeped for any coupons he recieved. He also said he didn't read them because they didn't pay him enough to care about the fine print on the coupon, lol. My tip is go to a young male cashier; they won't be all "you can't use this" and aren't likely to give you a hard time.
