Weis General Mills Cereal Deal

Weis is currently running a Catalina deal where if you buy a certain amount of General Mills, Yoplait, Old El Paso, Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes, Totion's Pizza, Nature Valley Nut Clusters, etc....you can get $5.00 off your next transaction or you can get $10 off your next transaction.

I usually like to spend about $1.00 on a box of cereal. Many times you can get cereal for FREE or for less than a $1.00 but I don't stress myself out trying to do that. I just try to get it for around a $1.00. I'm going to explain the transaction that I did. I got all of my coupons from a Shrek coupon booklet that I found at the service desk at Martins in Waynesboro. All of my coupons were for $1.00/2 boxes of cereal. You need (6) of these coupons.

This deal gets better if you buy $35.00 worth of cereal because then you'll get back $10.00 OYNO. But you have to have (9) coupons. Then you could forget the yogurt, get $36.00 worth of cereal which would be 18 boxes. Use (9) -$1.00/2 coupons. Pay $27.00 OOP get a $10.00 catalina OYNO. Basically you'll pay $17.00 for 18 boxes of cereal. That's less than $1.00 a box.

Leave me a comment if you have a question. The key is having the right coupons. I had some Cheerios coupons from a home mailer that I was able to use to sweeten the deal a little bit! So look and see what you have that might work!

P.S. You're going to think I'm crazy....but if you do this deal at the Weis in Longmeadow, Hagerstown. Go to register #8. For some reason (I have no idea why) the computer gave me a $10.00 catalina when it should have given me a $5.00 catalina OYNO. Needless to say I got a crazy awesome deal. I got all excited to do the deal again and I went to a different register then next time I checked out and it only gave me a $5.00 catalina, which is what it should have given me. But I'm just saying....if register #8 is open...I'd head to that register.

Millicent and I (Judy) have been super busy this week!! We are getting ready to launch a whole new look for the blog. It's going to be great. Much more user friendly. I can't wait for you to see it. I went to Foodlion today to make the most of their "Buy 10 Kelloggs Items - Get $10 off Instantly" Deal!

Here's the transaction that I did:

(4) Boxes of Kelloggs Raisin Bran $3.88 ea.

They are B1G1 (limit 2 free per transaction) so I paid $7.76

Then I used (2) -$1.00/2 Raisin Bran Cereal from the 4/11/10 RP

That brought my total down to $5.76 for (4) boxes of cereal.

(6) Boxes of Kellogg's Pop Tarts on sale for $2.00 ea.

Total:$12.00

Use (2) -1.25/3 coupons from 3/28/10

That brought my total down to $9.50

$9.50 (pop tarts) + $5.76 (cereal) = $15.26

$15.26 - $10.00 (promotion)= $5.26

I was at FoodLion this morning and got (2) great deals!!!

1. There is a blinkie machine (at the FL in Greencastle) right in front of the pickles for $0.75 off 1 jar of Vlasic pickles or relish. The relish is on sale for $1.29, so that makes a full size jar of relish only $0.54!!! Time to stock up for all the summer hot dogs and hamburgers you're going to be grilling!

2. I also bought 6 small cans of Pillsbury biscuits (in the refrigerator section). There was a blinkie machine right in front of the cans for $0.75 off (3).

The small cans were $0.69 each.

I bought (6) for a total of $4.14 - (2) $0.75 coupons =$2.64.

And right now if you buy (6) Pillsbury products you get a $4.00 Catalina on your next order.

**I've seen reports of these in a few different places, and i'm curious if anyone has found one?

Check your mail carefully and don't throw out any Walmart flyers before checking them for a blue $5 Walmart gift card!  The card needs to be activated with a simple phone call, but then it can be used just like any other gift card!  Apparently, these were sent out this week with the rollback flyers.

A Few Updates

**First I want to apologize--I usually don't post a deal with coupon matchups unless i'm sure that our area got the Q's...well, I didn't check the John Freida at CVS, and of course our paper didn't get the $3/1.  BUT...today Coupons.com released a $2.50/1, so if you can print 3 of these then you can still come out pretty good on the deal!

**Has anyone picked up the Bailey's coffee creamer at Martin's?  They took down the sale stickers and I am certain that it was listed to run through the 17th.  I even called back over and asked someone to check before I posted it!  Weis has it on sale for $1.50 this week so if you missed it at Martin's then there is still a good deal on it!

**Don't forget that Saturday is the last day of Kmart Doubles, and there are still deals popping up!  Let us know if you have found anything else good!

**We're working to get a date set for our next class and coupon swap.  It should be the end of April, beginning of May so keep watching!

CVS Deals

I finally stopped watching the Kmart deals to check out CVS, and there are some wonderful deals this week...especially if you're just starting out.  

My favorite is the Bayer Contour Meter--Buy one at $14.99, get $5 ECB (CVS Cash).

Use the $30/1 from the 10/25 RP (the cashier will need to adjust this down)

You'll pay $0 and get back $5 ECB!

Also be sure to scan your card when you go in the store.  You can scan more than once and get different coupons, but it will stop after so many :)   Right now it's giving $1 off of any CVS skin care and $1 off of any CVS paper product.  

I went last night and used those on the trial size of cocoa butter (it's in a travel section with the feminine products) and then a single roll of paper towels that were $1.29.

The $1/1 Wheat Thins coupon on Facebook is reset and can be printed again. These often go on sale for around $2 per box, making them a pretty good deal after this coupon.  The small ones are often on sale for $1 at CVS which would make them free!

I went over to Kmart tonight and did a deal that Common Sense with Money highlighted (below) on Tampax Pearl.  I do know there were lots left, and some of the different sized boxes were a tiny bit more in price     (20 cents or so).  If you use these this is an awesome deal, and if you're local and want some Q's email and I can get you some :)

I have to go back and find the rebate form, though.  I was rushing and forgot to grab it!  I'll update where it's at!

Kmart is running a mail in rebate promotion this week:  Receive a FREE $10 Prepaid Mastercard when you purchase $25 of P&G products in 1 transaction at Kmart.  This is a rebate form that you can find in-store usually by the products that are included in the promotion.  I noticed this particular tearpad is only for your purchases at Kmart.  Here is a nice scenario that take advantage of Kmart Super Doubles and a high value coupon:

I noticed in our local paper today that there is a website that can help you save at lots of different websites and local business'--it's called Radar Frog!  I registered with the basic free membership, but you can also pay $9.99/mo for a premium membership (you can get a 7 day trial for this also).

When you are looking at the deals page, on the right hand side you'll see local deals.  Click on that for some great coupons, like $2/$10 purchase at Mikie's!

*Last week I grabbed 4 boxes of Kellogg's Smart Start cereal using the Martin's $$ doublers, so I paid just over $1 per box.  Then I got a coupon for a free gallon of milk for buying 4 boxes of cereal (this promo is still going on so you can possibly get a good deal with Q's this week).  

My plan is to use my free milk coupon AND my free cookies coupon to get both for free.  Totally legitimate and okay to do this!  If you still have the same coupon then you'll be able to score both for free, too!

Kmart Deal

We ran out for ice cream tonight and I convinced my family to let me 'run in kmart real quick'!

I was a bit disappointed that Waynesboro doesn't sell the Always Infinity pads since that's what I wanted to get, but I did okay otherwise.  

I got 4 bottles of All laundry detergent (used 4 $2/1 from 2/7 RP) on sale $4

1 box of Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats ($1/1  from 3/28 RP)  on sale $2.50

I had .13 cents on my Rewards card from previous purchases, so I asked the cashier to use this (you have to ask them to check your balance before you pay).  

 

My total for all of the above was .85 cents.  Not bad considering total before coupons was $19.16!

They are definitely sticking to the limit of 5 coupons, so be prepared!
